The biggest skill I gained from Assignment 5 was how to use links in one slide in order to switch to different slides.  I had some experience with hyperlinks before, but not in this kind of manner. The one thing I disliked, like all other times I use Microsoft, was having a difficult time dealing with PowerPoint. It was extra frustrating as it was giving me a difficult time to even send the slides over in order for them to get graded.  I'm not entirely sure when exactly I would use data collection tools in my future career. If anything, I would probably use them when in relation to how certain written works of mine are received by others, since I'm going to be in the creative writing field after all. I could probably keep a list of how well certain books of mine do well with my audience. One other thing can be or have a survey of how well I implement certain elements into my stories. I think one technology-related skill I would like to learn next would be cybersecurity. I would

I have both good and poor experiences with EME2040. I liked how this class introduced me to different tools and sites that I previously had no clue that they existed. I didn't like how this class used things from Microsoft at times, as they always seemed to give me trouble for no good reason, and I don't like how this class is structured in a way as if it is expecting me to be a teacher in my future career. When I do become a teacher (I won't), I would improve the experience of my students by having the course be considerate to those that don't have a specific career in mind for their future.  Open educational resources are learning resources that are normally online, which anyone can access and use through numerous ways. One example of this is OER Commons. This site allows people to view, create, and even share OERs amongst others in groups. This site contains a whole library of OERs that people can view and use for their own needs. Link:  https://oercommons.org/ Ther

When designing my website, there were a couple principles I followed when making it. I made the format of each tabs very consistent and similar to one another, in order to not make it confusing, I made it so that navigating through the tabs was easy, giving it both a regular tab menu, plus a table of contents on the home page. The one thing I disliked about this assignment was how once you picked a template for a website, there was very little that would happen if you would try to change it into something else, which did kind of force me into doing a specific topic that was different from the one I wanted. The only time I would probably use a website, and require implementing these skills that I used here, would be if I become a writer, or enter the writing field, and advertise my services and/or works.  Link:  https://eme2040spring2024.weebly.com/   I do not use any AI tools when doing work. For starters, the only time I would ever have to use something like AI is for writing. In ord

I found several teacher pages on the Canopy Oaks Elementary School website. While the pages of some teachers were notably left blank (probably due to me not being signed in as a student or parent), there were some that had lots of information in their class pages. A majority of teachers had a page that briefly talked about who they were, using Google Slides that people could interact with. Teachers had special calendars and schedules that detailed what they would go over in class, some teachers even having a supply list to help inform students on what they should bring to class.  https://www.leonschools.net/domain/1574   I envision me using technology for a majority of my future professional career. Since I'm majoring in creative writing, and I wish to be a novelist, I am required to be constantly writing, and writing on the computer, especially in a place like Google Docs, is really efficient. As a teacher, I would mostly use tools made by Google, mostly due to their easy access.

There were a few things I didn't like when I first started using Diigo. I am not a fan of how you have to wait for people to accept the invitation to get into the group, or at the very least, how the website doesn't even bother to let you know when you've been accepted into the group. Another thing I don't like is how, in order to perform certain actions, you are forced to use the Chrome extension. Lastly, I found the place where I can upload whatever link I wanted to be slightly confusing and a bit empty too. I actually found myself enjoying blogging quite a bit. One thing I love about it is how easy it is for me to formulate what to say here, in a way that it is similar to Google Docs, instead of being confusing like Word. I also enjoy how easy it is to send new blogs to my blog page, and how simple it is for me to check out my page without having any real problems. One thing that blogging has taught me that there was a place where I could constantly post updates in c

When I began using social media for Personal Learning Networks, I had started with Instagram. On Instagram, I interacted with #teachertalk, leaving a comment on one of their posts. I found it beneficial as it gives great advice of keeping calm and choosing which battles to fight with students, showing the importance of having responsibility and maturity when teaching students. If was were to use either Instagram or Twitter in the future, it would most likely to be advertise and completed written works of mine.  Digital divide affects student success in school as they tend to have lower academic performances and they tend to have less access to information to further their studies. What is probably one of the main causes of digital divide is the inaccessibility technology can be for low income families. Some ways that this could affect certain teaching strategies that I use when teaching kids, as some students may fall behind during certain lessons if they aren't familiar with techn

Of the technology standards, I chose to discuss the English Language Arts for 9th grade. I specifically chose the strand that discusses Vocabulary. The main standard for this topic is the importance of finding meaning, being able to integrate vocabulary terms appropriate to the corresponding grade level in speaking and writing, and apply knowledge of context clues and figurative language. I feel prepared to implement this standard, as I am able to detect which words are necessary for the growth of students all while not being overly difficult.  I chose to do English Language Arts for grades 9-12. I then chose the standard that states to always cite evidence to explain and justify reasoning. Some of the resources include parts of "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Declaration of Sentiments". I believe that these sources are beneficial to my teachings as it involves using the practice of citing sources and using them to explain one's reasoning and further advance their
