I found several teacher pages on the Canopy Oaks Elementary School website. While the pages of some teachers were notably left blank (probably due to me not being signed in as a student or parent), there were some that had lots of information in their class pages. A majority of teachers had a page that briefly talked about who they were, using Google Slides that people could interact with. Teachers had special calendars and schedules that detailed what they would go over in class, some teachers even having a supply list to help inform students on what they should bring to class.

I envision me using technology for a majority of my future professional career. Since I'm majoring in creative writing, and I wish to be a novelist, I am required to be constantly writing, and writing on the computer, especially in a place like Google Docs, is really efficient. As a teacher, I would mostly use tools made by Google, mostly due to their easy access. I would most certainly use Google Classroom, as it would be an easy way for my students to find resources, look at what assignments they need to do, and post their work.

I found myself enjoying using the Canvas group tool during Assignment 2. I liked how organized the tool made everything become. I really enjoyed how after submitting what I wanted to say in the table, the tool quickly processed it in a way that was easily accessible and viewable. The only thing I would say that I disliked about it is how confusing it was to get to the group tool, as it involved me pressing various links on Canvas, and it wasn't made too obvious on there as to where I needed to go.

During the few times when I used Microsoft Word, I had a bit of a rough time at first, but then, it was better for me later on. When I used Microsoft Word when I was in elementary school, I didn't like having to manually save my document every time I edited it. I hadn't use it or even tried to use it ever since until back in high school, where I tried to access documents that were stuck in Microsoft Word, but I was unable to do anything because I didn't have a Microsoft account nor paid for the subscription. It wasn't until I was in college when the school gave it to me as part of having a Microsoft account and had to use it for certain classes and assignments when I finally got the hang of using Word. That being said, I still prefer to use Google Docs. I prefer this over Word because it's much more accessible. I don't have to worry about manually saving things to my computer, I don't have to pay for it, and it comes automatically when making a Google accoun...

I have both good and poor experiences with EME2040. I liked how this class introduced me to different tools and sites that I previously had no clue that they existed. I didn't like how this class used things from Microsoft at times, as they always seemed to give me trouble for no good reason, and I don't like how this class is structured in a way as if it is expecting me to be a teacher in my future career. When I do become a teacher (I won't), I would improve the experience of my students by having the course be considerate to those that don't have a specific career in mind for their future.  Open educational resources are learning resources that are normally online, which anyone can access and use through numerous ways. One example of this is OER Commons. This site allows people to view, create, and even share OERs amongst others in groups. This site contains a whole library of OERs that people can view and use for their own needs. Link:  https://oercommons.org/ Ther...

The biggest skill I gained from Assignment 5 was how to use links in one slide in order to switch to different slides.  I had some experience with hyperlinks before, but not in this kind of manner. The one thing I disliked, like all other times I use Microsoft, was having a difficult time dealing with PowerPoint. It was extra frustrating as it was giving me a difficult time to even send the slides over in order for them to get graded.  I'm not entirely sure when exactly I would use data collection tools in my future career. If anything, I would probably use them when in relation to how certain written works of mine are received by others, since I'm going to be in the creative writing field after all. I could probably keep a list of how well certain books of mine do well with my audience. One other thing can be or have a survey of how well I implement certain elements into my stories. I think one technology-related skill I would like to learn next would be cybersecurity. I woul...
